NetRiders' winners from around the globe visit USA

In January 2010, Cisco recognised the winners of the 2009 international Cisco® Networking Academy® NetRiders Skills Challenges with an all expense paid trip to Cisco headquarters in California where winners had the opportunity to meet with Cisco CEO John Chambers, tour Cisco facilities, visit Stanford University campus and experience local attractions in San Francisco.

The 15 winners from 11 countries were the top competitors from NetRiders events held throughout 2009 in EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific and represented the best of more than 10,000 students from over 80 countries.

Amy Christen, vice president of corporate affairs and general manager of the Cisco Networking Academy, said: "Congratulations to all of the students who competed in the 2009 NetRiders events. We are delighted that the Cisco Networking Academy has been able to provide this opportunity for students to showcase their skills and compete with their peers in immersive hands-on competitions. We look forward to seeing these talented students continue to pursue technical education in the growing information technology field."

Netriders Winners 2009Do you have what it takes to become a NetRiders winner?

National NetRiders competitions, where you can win a FLIP camcorder, will be taking place over the next 5 months to identify candidates for the international EMEA contest taking place on 7 July when 40 countries will compete to win 5 trips to the USA in Jan 2011.

Check out the NetRiders calendar below for details of your country events and contact your instructor to find out more! Candidates in other countries may be nominated via an alternative process. Contestants will need to be competent in CCNA and over 18 years of age by Dec 2010 to take part in the competition which will consist of a of multiple choice exam and packet tracer task.
